Visit PITTSBURGH, in partnership with DGP, is hosting a Post ABA FAM tour, 
Wednesday, February 5 – Friday, February 7, 2025 called Pittsburgh: Highlights of the Region

DGP members will have several opportunities to meet with attendees through sponsorships, volunteering and the DGP Member "Welcome to Our Neighborhood" dinner and Marketplace on Thursday, February 6

Please review the following information and complete the form below to participate. 

FAM overview Who: up to 20 tour operators who are attending American Bus Association Marketplace 2025 in Philadelphia February 1-4. What: a FAM tour is a familiarization tour for guests to visit multiple stops in a region giving them a taste of what their clients would experience. ABA hosts post marketplace FAM tours in the region of the show. As a PA partner we will bring guests across the state and share some of the regions highlights. VisitPITTSBURGH is hosting this FAM tour with partnership from DGP and its members. When: Wednesday, February 5, 2025, they will board a Lenzner Lines Motorcoach at their hotel in Philly. With a tour guide they will drive across the state arriving in the Laurel Highlands around lunch time to visit Flight 93 memorial. They will arrive in Pittsburgh by late afternoon, touring the region for nearly two full days. They will depart from Pittsburgh on Friday, February 7 around 1:30 pm.  Where: There are multiple opportunities for members to participate and get face time with operators. Please see the form below for more.  Why: Why host? With ABA being hosted in state, a FAM tour is the perfect way to show Operators how accessible, unique and dedicated Western PA is to group and state tourism.  Why participate? These operators will be coming off a week of Philadelphia sightseeing while meeting with attractions, hotels, DMO's etc. from all over the country. We want to finish their trip off with the best hospitality we can offer so Western PA is at the top of their group tour planning list. We need you to make that happen. ​​

FAM Tour Marketplace Details: 

DGP membership covers much of Western PA. Since there isn't enough time to visit everyone, the Marketplace is your main opportunity to meet and greet the Operators and exhibit your property/destination with your table display. Please review the following details and sign up on the form below. 

 

  • The DGP dinner and Marketplace will take place Thursday, February 6 at the National Aviary Garden Room.

  • Set up 5:00pm – 6:00pm. Dinner/Event at 6:00pm. 

  • We plan to have 20 guests join us on the FAM Tour. Members will be given a final RSVP list prior to the FAM.

  • Cost is $50 (plus processing fees) per person/per site. Cost includes dinner, beverages and optional table for Marketplace.  

  • Dinner will be served Buffet style with Vegetarian options included.  

  • The Marketplace will feature our traditional "Pittsburgh Cookie Table". Each table/site is asked to bring one treat for the Operators to pick up for their cookie box as they visit. (please note, no refrigeration will be available). 

  • Upon arrival you may park and unload in the main parking lot at 700 Arch Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. There is a $7 charge for parking. 

  • Upon entering the Aviary there will be signs to the marketplace location and tables will be marked per participating member. They will be grouped by neighborhood. Please bring your own organizations tablecloth. (please note, electricity will not be available at the tables)

  • Your submission below confirms your commitment to the marketplace. Invoices will be sent approx. 4 weeks prior to the FAM for payment prior to the Marketplace. Invoices will be sent from Kris, DGP's administrator, to the primary email on the submission. Payment accepted via Credit Card will include and additional processing fees of approx. $2.

  • 2025 DGP Membership must be fully paid to participate in DGP member dinner and  Marketplace
