Whiskey Rebellion Festival
The Whiskey Rebellion Festival celebrates the heritage and unique character of the region by focusing on the historical significance of the Whiskey Rebellion, a history that is exclusive to western Pennsylvania and primarily Washington County. The festival honors the significant period of America’s early days through historic reenactments, period exhibitions and demonstrations, family fun, frontier art, heritage music, and food, all the while shining a national spotlight on the city, county, and region. Community-focused entertainment combines with nationally renowned artists to create a festival that acknowledges the past, celebrates the present, and looks toward the future.
For full event details, check out www.whiskeyrebellionfestival.com. The event kicks off this year, on Friday, July 8th with a Rebellion Whiskey Walk from 6-9 pm and the Washington Symphony Orchestra is performing from 8-9:30 pm. Then the main events are on Saturday, July 8, starting with a parade at 10.30 am and the day concludes at about 10 pm.
